Chavitty Uzhichil
The traditional Kerala martial arts foot massage (chavitty uzhichil) is a kind of manipulation technique that gives a sudden effect that drives the herniated disks to its normal position and gives a radiant effect without any surgical invasions. It reorganizes the bones of the displaced spine. The direction of the Sushumna (spinal cord) is corrected through this process. Shirodhara
Shirodhara is an amazing, unique body therapy from the ancient natural medical system Ayurveda. Shirodhara has a profound impact on the nervous system. That means, the treatment directly and immediately calms, relaxes and has a cleansing effect on the mind and nerves. It is indicated in rheumatic problems, diabetes, loss of sleep, stress related ailments, paralysis, nervous damages, high blood pressure.
Pizhichil
This is a therapeutic process in which lukewarm medicated oil is poured all over the body in a uniform rhythmic way continuously in specific direction along with simultaneous gentle massages for 07 to 21 days. This treatment is effective for rheumatic diseases like arthritis, paralysis, reduces all inflammation and weakness of muscular and nervous systems.
Udwarthanam
Udwarthanam is a kind of Ayurvedic powder massage. This is a special massage done with a mixture of medicated powder and oil. It improves the blood circulation and melts away the subcutaneous fat.It is used as a remedy for metabolic and lifestyle disorders such as Obesity, Skin diseases, diabetic neuropathy, Muscular dystrophy.
Kizhi
The term Kizhi means "Bundle" in malayalam. Kizhi Ayurveda Treatment is a therapy by which whole body or specific parts are made to sweat by using warm bundles containing of herbal powders, herbal leaves and medicinal rice. These bags are then placed with varying degrees of pressure on different body parts, with special focus on areas where the marma- or nerve points - are located. It is a useful Ayurvedic treatment for low Back Pain, spondylosis, muscular cramps, and swelling.
Navara Kizhi
Navara is a specific variety of rice which possesses high medicinal values. It is found that this rice has got the capability of regeneration of bone cells, and can nourish the associated structures of a joint such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilages etc. Navara has got high dietary values as well. Navara can be applied in two ways like, NavaraKizhi and Navara Lepana. The milk and herbs concoction used in this massage is also used to heal certain ailments. A special type of brown rice is cooked along with milk and herbs and then kizhis are prepared with it and used during the massage. The kizhi is rubbed on the body during massage to generate heat which provides relief to the stiff and swollen muscles.Typically used in Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, knee joint pain, Cervical Spondylosis, muscular dystrophy, ligament tear,subluxation or dislocation of the joints like knees and shoulders, and paralysis.
Kashaya Vasthi
Kashaya vasthi is normally done after a course of Sneha vasthi. This is a therapeutic and cleansing enema where a combination of honey, oil, herbal paste, and herbal decoction is administered as per the patient's requirement and condition. The medicated decoction is introduced through the rectum and retaining it in the stomach for a specific duration. Kashaya vasthi helps eliminate Vata and alleviates disorders such as arthritis, constipation, neurological ailments, paralysis, flatulence, lower backache, gout, and rheumatism.
Nasyam
Nasyam is a treatment in the Panchakarma therapy mentioned in Ayurveda. It is an Ayurvedic detoxification therapy which involves application of herbal oils and liquid medicines through nostrils. The therapy is highly effective in curing a number of diseases and ailments. The treatment not only helps in removing toxins from the head, neck, brain, eyes, ear, nose and throat region, but also helps in bestowing a much needed nourishment and immunity to these vital parts. It clears sinus congestion and removes toxins from head and neck, helps relieve hoarseness of voice and pains in nose and throat, provides relief from headaches and migraines, improves Rhinitis or runny rose and clears blocked nasal passage.
Takradhara
A type of dhara performed over forehead done with processed buttermilk with herbs. Highly effective in Kapha and Pitha related disorders, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, insanity, autoimmune disorders, emotional and mood disorders, insomnia, alcoholism, and liver disorders.
Shirovasthi
Shiro vasthi is the most intensive, potent oil application. It is a special technique to administer medicated oil on the head. This treatment is done for seven days. It is a useful remedy for ENT disorders, frozen shoulder, paralysis, facial palsy, cervical spondylosis, insomnia, and snoring.
Manja Kizhi
One of the greatly effective Kalari treatment. The medicines are inspired and evolved from the great martial arts Kalari and its injury management tactics and techniques. It is proven to be an effective treatment for all traumatic pains, inflammations, disc slips, sports injuries, wear and tear of joints, muscular, skeletal, ligament and tendon pains and aches.
